Designed by Canadian artist Harvey Chan, the 2001 18-karat Gold Coin features a snake entwined around a bamboo stalk. The 18-karat gold (75% gold and 25% silver) coin has a diameter of 28 mm and weighs 13.84 grams. The coin has a serrated edge and is 1.81 mm thick. The face value is $150 and the mintage is limited to 6,888 coins worldwide.
