The 175th Anniversary of the Birth of Alexander Graham Bell commemorative one-dollar coin honours his contributions and achievements, including a record-setting hydrofoil and the first powered aircraft to fly in Canada. This coin depicts both the HD-4 hydrofoil and the Silver Dart aircraft on a specially crafted $1 coin.

Personality rights of ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL and usage rights for his signature, the Silver Dart and HD-4 Hydrofoil are used with the permission of The Alexander and Mabel Bell Legacy Foundation.


Summit Series

Fifty years later, the intensity and excitement of the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the Soviet Union (U.S.S.R.) still live on in the collective memory of Canadians, along with the heart, grit and determination demonstrated by members of Team Canada.

Their legacy and team spirit are proudly honoured on this $2 circulation coin that celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Summit Series.
