2021 Canada 100th Anniversary of Bluenose Special Wrap Roll Set (3 Rolls)
Celebrate the centennial anniversary of the iconic Canadian schooner, the Bluenose, with this 2021 Bluenose Special Wrapped Roll Set! This set contains three different rolls, each containing a different Bluenose design.
Each set contains the following:
- one roll of 50 struck (engraved only) dimes
- one roll of 50 coloured dimes
- one roll of 50 double-dated variety of the classic Bluenose dimes
The reverse of the 2021 Struck and Coloured Bluenose Special Wrapped Rolls was designed by Yves Bérubé, a Canadian marine artist. These 10-cent coins are double-dated ("1921-2021") to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the launch of the iconic Canadian schooner. The engraved image depicts the Bluenose under full sail and heeled to part on the open ocean. The ocean is pained in a radiant blue on the 2021 coloured version. The obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
The Classic 10-cent design was originally introduced in 1937, and this updated 2021 double-dated ("1921-2021") reverse design was created by Emanuel Hahn to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the launch of Canada's famous ship. This coin features the classic portrait of the Bluenose under sail. The obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
