Superbly struck in proof quality, this 1oz silver coin features the iconic Australian Kangaroo design for 2018 in stunning high relief.

The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality.

The reverse of the coin depicts two kangaroos in a stylised rural landscape bordered by the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO, The Perth Mint’s 'P' mintmark and the 2018 year-date.

To capture the depth and wonderful details of the design, the coin has been struck with a high relief die which imparts an unusually deep impression on its extra thick blank.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on its obverse.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 20,000 of the Australian Kangaroo 2018 1oz High Relief Silver Proof Coin.

Each coin is housed in a classic Perth Mint display case within a themed shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
