1870 Flat Border Canada 5-cents ICCS Certified VF-30

Before the coinage of 1870 was complete, new master tools for the 5-cent piece were introduced with the result that two varieties were created for that year. The first has wide rims (including unusually long rim denticles) on the obverse and reverse, and the second has more conventional narrow rims.
