125th Anniversary of Canada Parliament Loon Dollar 1992

Issued as part of the "125" coin program by the numismatic department of the Mint. This proof coin is the companion piece to the circulating issue of the same design.

Parliament Hill is home to Canada's federal government and representatives all over the country gather here to come up with laws that affect the lives of Canadians. This area is commemorated in this 1992 Parliament Loon Dollar Coin. The reverse side comes with a design that's created by Rita Swanson and it depicts three children holding a Canadian flag on Parliament Hill. The obverse comes in an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created by Dora de Pedery Hunt. Issued as part of the "125" coin program by the numismatic department of the Mint. This proof coin is the companion piece to the circulating issue of the same design. It comes presented in a box with a certificate of authenticity.
