Yarmouth is a small municipality on the western tip of Nova Scotia. Established in 1879, its most famous landmark is the Cape Forchu Lightstation. The original Victorian lighthouse predated the settlement by some forty years, but it was replaced in the early 1960s with the current, "apple core" tower. This elegant souvenir medallion celebrates the 1879 founding of Yarmouth on one side and the 1840 construction of the original lighthouse on the other, and features a striking antique finish that makes every detail pop.
