2001 Port-Daniel, QC, Bimetallic $3 Souvenir Token
Port-Daniel was a municipality perched on the very eastern tip of Québec, until it merged with the Parish Municipality of Sainte-Germaine-de-l'Anse-aux-Gascons to become Port-Daniel-Gascons. This was in 2001, the year this $3 souvenir token was minted. Each side of the token features one of the area's attractions: Percé Rock, a famous rock formation on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula which, from a distance, looks like a ship; and la Maison LeGrand, a stately, historic house that is now part-museum, part-town hall.
