1986 Vermilion, AB, Western Canadian Master Ski Championships Gold Plated Trade Dollar

Commemorating the 1986 Western Canadian Masters Cross Country Skiing Championships, this gold-plated trade dollar features a skiier in front of a chalet on the obverse. On the reverse is the triangular logo of Vermilion, Alberta, known as the Friendly Town on the Yellowhead Route. Nickel versions of this token also exist; this one was gold-plated.
