New Zealand 1989 5-Coin Proof Set (minor wear)
The 1989 New Zealand proof set celebrates the XIVth Commonwealth Games, to be held in Auckland in the following year. 55 countries participated; New Zealand came fourth, after Australia, England, and Canada. Five coins are included: 5-cents, 10-cents, 20-cents, 50-cents, and a special sterling silver dollar that features a reverse design inspired by the Games. This was the first proof set to be issued without the 1- and 2-cent coins.
