This unique proof set recreates the national flag of New Zealand, but cleverly replaces the stars with four fine silver coins representing the quarterings of the New Zealand Coat of Arms. The four reverse designs represent the four stars of the Southern Cross, the fleece from a sheep, a sheaf of wheat, and a pair of crossed mining hammers. Together, these represent the culture and industries of rugged and beautiful New Zealand. The four individually encapsulated coins come in a plush, navy blue case branded by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
