1966-1967 marked a double centennial for the people of British Columbia: 1966 was the 100th anniversary of Vancouver Island joining British Columbia, while 1967 was, of course, the 100th anniversary of Canadian Confederation. To celebrate, British Columbia produced this commemorative token featuring Century Sam and Centennial Sue -- mascots of the double-centenary.
