The 2023 Samoa $5 Lord of The Rings: The One Ring 3oz Fine Silver Coin was minted by the Royal Canadian Mint to commemorate the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power TV series, debuting in 2013, and is the first coin to feature a 3D ring edge. The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of Samoa, while the reverse depicts Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee in front of Mount Doom. Struck in .999 fine silver and weighing 3 oz, the coin features selective gold plating on the edge of the ring with the incuse inscription “Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk, agh burzum-ishi krimpatul,” translating to “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.” The coin comes in its original packaging and includes a Certificate of Authenticity (CoA).
