1976 USA Bicentennial Commemorative Medal & Stamps First Day Cover (light wear)
1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. This landmark date was celebrated all over the United States, and a wide variety of commemorative coins, tokens, and stamps were issued from all manner of organizations. This base metal token, featuring the bust of George Washington on the obverse and a tribute to the Sons of Liberty on the reverse, comes in its original first-day envelope with four stamps celebrating colonial American craftsmanship. The stamps feature four typical 18th-century industries: glassblowing, ironworking, wigmaking, and hatmaking.
Please note that, given its age, this set is in excellent condition, but it does still exhibit some signs of wear and handling, especially along edges and corners.
