Cook Islands 2011 $10 Diamond Jubilee Trooping the Colour Proof .999 Fine Silver Coin (No Tax) scratched capsule
In 2012, Elizabeth II became the second monarch in a thousand years of British history to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee. To commemorate sixty years on the throne, the Cook Islands produced this 1oz. .999 fine silver coin featuring the grand military tradition of "trooping the colour," performed to celebrate the reigning monarch's birthday. The detailed reverse design shows Elizabeth II on horseback, observing her father King George VI's Trooping the Colour parade. This is overlaid with a contemporary portrait of Elizabeth watching her own Trooping the Colour parade in 2010. The coin comes with an informative sheet from the Royal Canadian Mint.
Please note, the capsule exhibits some light scratches and scuffs.
