2017 USA Silver Shield Winter is Here 1oz. .999 Silver Proof (No Tax)
This provocative one-ounce American round was designed by Chris Duane, creator of the Silver Shield line of independent proof-quality investment pieces. This design, titled "Winter is Here," depicts Russian president Vladimir Putin seated on a facsimile of the Iron Throne from popular fantasy series Game of Thrones. Behind him is the double-headed eagle that serves as the Russian coat of arms, and he holds an American banknote that appears to be on fire. The text "Winter is Here" is stylized to look like Cyrillic and also references Game of Thrones, in which a northern territory constantly warns about the brutality of a coming, years-long winter. Crafted from .999 silver, the coin comes encapsulated with a "Death of the Dollar" certificate of authenticity.
