1979 Windsor, ON, Firefighter's Benefit Fund Medal

The Windsor Firefighter's Benefit Fund was established in 1925 to provide community support and help firefighters and their families in times of need. This medal, which has a loop at the top that presumably attached to a ribbon, celebrates a 50th anniversary with the double date 1929-1979. At centre, the Windsor firefighters' coat of arms is surrounded by stylized flames.
