2006 Canada $20 Architectural Treasures Notre Dame Basilica of Montreal Holographic .9999 Fine Silver Coin (No Tax) coin only
The Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal or Basilica of Our Lady of Montreal, is a historic Catholic church in Old Montreal, Quebec. Built on the site of a 17th-century church, the modern Gothic Revival building was raised between 1824 and 1829. When it was completed, Notre Dame was the largest church in North America. Its architect, Irish-American James O'Donnell (who was also responsible for several Gothic buildings in New York City), intended it to be seen from any point in Montreal -- and for many years, this was so. The interior was completed in the 1870s, based on the breathtaking Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. Today, it is a National Historic Site and is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the world.
This gorgeous holographic coin celebrates one of Montreal's most beautiful and historically significant buildings. Made from .9999 fine silver, the coin weighs a full troy ounce and is one of three in the Architectural Treasures collection from the Royal Canadian Mint.
Please note, no packaging or capsule is included. You will receive the coin only.
