Barbados 1974 First Coinage 8-Coin Proof Set Sealed in Case (minor issues)

This very pretty proof set from Barbados includes eight coins: 1-cent, 5-cents, 10-cents, 25-cents, 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 5 dollars, and 10 dollars. Each coin features the flora, fauna, and cultural landmarks that make Barbados unique, presented in a lovely proof finish and sealed inside a blue clamshell case. The $10 Neptune coin is crafted from sterling silver, whilst the $5 shell fountain coin is .800 silver. This equals about 1.927ozt. of silver content. The set was struck by the Franklin Mint.

For its age, the set is in wonderful condition. Some of the coins exhibit some light toning, and the inner lining of the case has yellowed very slightly. The case feels sturdy and still snaps open and shut, but the back edge is beginning to show some light wear. Please note that the accompanying paperwork, including the COA, and the original outer sleeve, is missing.
