Georg Weifert, also spelt Đorđe Vajfert, was an industrial pioneer in late 19th- and early 20th-century Serbia. He married Marie Gassner on September 9, 1873, and, in 1933, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with the minting of this large medallion. Featring overlapping busts of Georg and Marie, the German-language engraving celebrates 60 years of happiness.
