1973 Hawaii Prince Kuhio Kauai Aloha Dollar Trade Token

Issued by the Kauai Chamber of Commerce throughout the 1970s and 80s, Kauai Dollars were usable on the island of Kauai. They feature Prince Kūhiō, who was prince of the Kingdom of Hawaii until it was overthrown by a coalition of American and European businessmen in 1893. Similar coins were produced for Honolulu, Maui, Hilo, and more, and proved popular souvenirs for tourists.
