The Maple Leaf is the most recognized of all Canadian emblems. In 2003 and 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint released four coloured silver maple leaf bullion coins, celebrating the maple leaf in every season. This coin, graded MS66 by ICCS, depicts a reddened maple leaf clinging weakly to a sparse bough, representing the maple in winter.
