2004 Canada First French Settlement .9999 Silver ICCS Certified PF67 UHC (No Tax)
In June of 1604, French explorer, navigator, and colonizer Samuel de Champlain (1567-1635) aided in the foundation of Port Royal, the first European settlement in what would one day be Canada. Located in the upper Annapolis Basin in modern Nova Scotia, Port Royal would become the launching point for expeditions farther into the Canadian interior, leading to the eventually foundation of Quebec and greater New France.
In 2004, this monumental historical event celebrated its 400th anniversary. This beautiful .9999 fine silver coin features Champlain's ships, Le Don de Dieu, alongside his original sketch of Arcadia.
