Belgium 1923 Legend in Dutch 2 Francs Extra Fine (EF-40)
The 1923 Belgian 2 Francs was issued during the reign of King Albert I (1909–1934) as part of Belgium’s standard circulation currency, amid the nation’s economic recovery following World War I. The inscription GOED VOOR (“Good For”) signifies that the coin represented its full face value, reflecting the government’s efforts to stabilize the currency and restore public confidence after wartime disruptions and inflation had undermined trust in financial promises.
