1982-1987 Stratford, Ont. 6-Trade Dollar Token Set in Card

This set includes six Trade Dollar tokens from Stratford, Ontario, spanning the years 1982 to 1987, all housed in a black card. The 1982 Trade Dollar commemorates Stratford's 150th anniversary, featuring the city's anniversary logo on the obverse and City Hall on the reverse. The 1983 token shows a locomotive in motion on the obverse and the Stratford city crest on the reverse. The 1984 issue features the Stratford crest on the obverse and a portrait of William Shakespeare on the reverse. The 1985 Trade Dollar displays two swans swimming left, with the rear swan facing left and the foreground swan facing right, while the obverse shows the Stratford crest. The 1986 token again features the crest on the obverse and depicts the Brooks Steamer—a steam-powered automobile manufactured in Stratford between 1923 and 1926—on the reverse; only about 200 to 300 of these cars were made. The 1987 Trade Dollar showcases the Stratford Festival Theatre on the reverse with the city crest on the obverse. Please note that some of the tokens show scratches.
