Released in 2008 to celebrate the unity and shared history of England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland, the design of this beautiful proof set was selected from a competition with more than 4,000 entries. The winner, graphic designer Matthew Dent, was inspired by traditional heraldry to create a segmented, jigsaw-like royal coat of arms across the set's seven coins. The set includes a 50 pence, 20 pence, 10 pence, 5 pence, 2 pence, and 1 penny coin housed in a cardboard folder that doubles as an informational booklet and COA.
Please note, the set exhibits some minor issues, like light wear on edges and corners and a bit of a warped exterior sleeve.
