Austria 1632 Tyrol Leopold V 10 Kreuzer Almost Uncirculated (AU50)
Leopold V, Archduke of Austria (1586–1632) was a member of the House of Habsburg who ruled Further Austria and Tyrol during the early 17th century. Initially destined for an ecclesiastical career, he served as a bishop before later assuming secular power following his marriage to Claudia de’ Medici. His rule took place during the turbulent years of the Thirty Years' War, in which he supported Habsburg and Catholic interests. Leopold worked to strengthen his territories administratively and militarily, helping to secure Habsburg influence in the region, and he maintained the cultural patronage traditions of his family until his death in 1632.
