(2026) Two Idaho Goldback Aurum 1/500oz 24K .9999 Gold Wafer Foil Note (No Tax)

These 24K foil notes contain 1/500oz .999 Fine Gold.  Goldbacks resemble standard paper currency in shape but are made with thin layers of 24-karat gold. Initially introduced in Utah following the Utah Legal Tender Act, they serve as a voluntary currency, allowing transactions at the vendor's discretion. Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—have each launched their own Goldbacks in subsequent years.

This Idaho Goldback depicts the virtue “Civitas” (Citizenship and Community). The scene is set on the Basque Block in downtown Boise, where a group performs a traditional hoop dance from the Gipuzkoa province called “Uztai Txiki (Arco Dantza).” The dancers hold small wooden hoops decorated with ribbons, striking them in rhythm with the music. Their coordinated movements symbolize impeccable timing and shared purpose. Civitas takes center stage. Beneath her feet is the Boise Basque cross, the locally recognized lauburu design. This specific cross ties the scene to the city, honoring a community that preserved its identity while becoming part of Idaho.
