(2026) Ten Idaho Goldback Aurum 1/100oz 24K .9999 Gold Wafer Foil Note (No Tax)

These 24K foil notes contain 1/100oz .999 Fine Gold.  Goldbacks resemble standard paper currency in shape but are made with thin layers of 24-karat gold. Initially introduced in Utah following the Utah Legal Tender Act, they serve as a voluntary currency, allowing transactions at the vendor's discretion. Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—have each launched their own Goldbacks in subsequent years.

This Idaho Goldback depicts the virtue “Perserverantia” (Perseverance and Steadfastness). The scene takes place at the Owyhee Mountains during the height of the silver rush in the early 1860s. During this time, rich ore discoveries drew thousands to this remote and unforgiving landscape. The miner in the artwork rests beside a cart filled with raw silver ore. Her demeanor reflects the reality of mining life, where success only came after long days of physical labor, risk, and persistence.
