These 24K foil notes contain 1/1000oz .999 Fine Gold.  Goldbacks resemble standard paper currency in shape but are made with thin layers of 24-karat gold. Initially introduced in Utah following the Utah Legal Tender Act, they serve as a voluntary currency, allowing transactions at the vendor's discretion. Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—have each launched their own Goldbacks in subsequent years.

This Idaho Goldback depicts the virtue “Fides” (Faith and Loyalty). Set at City of Rocks, the scene shows a mother guiding her child across the open ground.
