2026 Canada $500 Crown Jewels: A Tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Elizabeth II 5oz. Pure Gold
Regal radiance in every detail—and in 5 oz. of pure gold. Order today!
Drawing from the diamond geometry of Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara and the ruby clusters of the Baring Ruby Necklace, this exquisite 5 oz. 99.99% pure gold coin captures the spirit of a reign—and of a monarch—defined by duty, dignity and grace, as we mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II. From the jewellery-inspired motifs to its floral ornamentation, every sweeping line and subtle curve is crafted with intention and finished with artisanal precision. The result is a collector’s piece that artfully embodies nearly a century of history, honouring the world’s most iconic custodian of royal jewels.
The largest of our 2026 coin tributes to Queen Elizabeth II.
For the opening of Canada’s Parliament in 1977, Queen Elizabeth II paired the Baring Ruby Necklace with the all-diamond Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, an heirloom she inherited from Queen Mary in 1953. The tiara had made its Parliament Hill debut two decades earlier: she had worn it there in 1957, when she became the first sovereign to open Canada’s Parliament. On that earlier occasion, she also donned her coronation gown, whose embroidery incorporates national emblems—a theme echoed in this coin’s floral scrollwork.
The reverse design by Canadian artist Anna Bucciarelli features an artistic interpretation of the ruby-and-diamond central pendant of the Baring Ruby Necklace (centre), and the vertical diamond motifs (outer row) of Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara—both iconic jewels that reflect the dignity, strength and enduring legacy of Queen Elizabeth II, on the 100th anniversary of her birth. Floral scrollwork incorporating a maple leaf and Tudor rose surrounds the four effigies that graced Canadian coins throughout her historic reign, presented in reverse chronological order (clockwise from the top): the uncrowned portrait (2003-2023) by Susanna Blunt; the diademed effigy (1990-2002) by Dora de Pédery-Hunt; the tiara effigy (1964-1989) by Arnold Machin; and the laureate effigy (1953-1964) by Mary Gillick. The obverse features a guillocheé pattern and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
