2026 Canada $20 CN Tower 50th Anniversary Fine Silver (No Tax)

Sky-high Canadian pride: Celebrate 50 years of the CN Tower. Order today!

By day, its silhouette inspires; by night, it lights up Toronto’s heart. Celebrate 50 years of the CN Tower’s official opening and experience its dual beauty with this fine silver coin, which shifts from a sky-high view to that of an illuminated Tower under black light! Spanning 50 years of innovation and engineering excellence, the reverse design invites you to see the city through the eyes of those who have gazed from the Main Observation Level, the most visited viewing platform at 346 metres high. Under black light (included), the image reveals another view familiar to anyone who’s ever looked up in awe—the CN Tower colourfully aglow, painting Toronto’s night sky with the spirit of Canada itself.

Experience the views, the lights.

Completed in 1975 and opened to the public in 1976, the CN Tower rises 553.33 metres above Toronto’s skyline, a remarkable feat of engineering that held the title of the world’s tallest freestanding structure for over three decades. In 2007, the Tower gained a new glow with the addition of an advanced LED lighting system capable of producing over 16 million colours. Seamlessly integrated into its design, these lights transform the landmark into a vibrant beacon each night, illuminating in symbolic hues to celebrate Canadian culture, charitable causes, and moments of national pride.

The reverse design by Canadian artist Steve Hepburn features the CN Tower at its centre, bordered by neighbouring architecture in the foreground and set against a stylized collage of different views from the Tower’s observation deck. The years “1976” and “2026” commemorate the 50th anniversary of its opening to the public. Under UV black light, the CN Tower is illuminated in Canada’s national colours—red and white—and shines as a proud emblem of Toronto, a testament to Canadian engineering, and a beacon of national pride. The obverse features an encircling line pattern echoing the CN Tower’s vertical rise and Toronto’s dynamic skyline, and the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.

  • Contrasting art styles. The collage’s hand-drawn style contrasts with the more realistic rendering of the CN Tower and Toronto skyscrapers in the foreground, adding depth and dimension to the design.
