2026 Canada $15 Clan Animals: Bear Fine Silver (No Tax)
Honouring Mukwa—protector, healer, guardian.
The second of the Clan Animals, Mukwa (Bear) stands as a steadfast presence among the Anishinabek, embodying care, peacemaking and the knowledge to restore balance. Closely attuned to the rhythms of the land and the cycle of the seasons, Mukwa is revered as both guardian and guide—one who teaches and safeguards the people while nurturing their well-being.
This ¾ oz. 99.99% pure silver coin speaks to the quiet power and resolute spirit of Mukwa, the protector whose strength and restorative wisdom help shield the community from harm.
Second coin in the Clan Animals series.
Enhanced with colour
A sleek, contemporary palette pairs bold, elemental forms—like the sun, rendered here in striking red, and the blue water—with the understated elegance of soft earth tones.
Designed by Anishinaabe artist Mark V. Nadjiwan, the coin’s reverse is set in a forest, where the red midday sun hangs high in the sky. Mukwa (the Bear) follows a blue forest stream, with black spruce rising up on one bank and a birch tree brightening the other. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
