These 24K foil notes contain 1/4000oz .999 Fine Gold.  Goldbacks resemble standard paper currency in shape but are made with thin layers of 24-karat gold. Initially introduced in Utah following the Utah Legal Tender Act, they serve as a voluntary currency, allowing transactions at the vendor's discretion. Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—have each launched their own Goldbacks in subsequent years.

This Florida Goldback depicts Pax, the Roman virtue of peace, beneath the clear waters of Florida’s renowned Molasses Reef. Pax represents a flourishing society, which is reflected by the abundance of marine life surrounding her. In one hand she holds a branch of seaweed as a symbol of reconciliation; in the other, she holds a trident, representing stewardship of the sea.
