2025 P Arkansas USA American Innovation Dollar Uncirculated (MS-60)
The United States Mint American Innovation $1 Coin Program is a multi-year series honoring innovation and innovators with $1 coins from each State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands. The American Innovation $1 Coins in the rolls and bags were minted at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. The Arkansas coin is the first coin of 2025.
On the reverse side of each new coin features Raye Montague visualizing a United States Navy Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate, a ship she designed by computer. The grid pattern over the sea evokes the engineering and drafting techniques she digitized to accomplish her design. Included inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ARKANSAS,” and “RAYE MONTAGUE.”
All coins in the series feature the same obverse (heads side) design, depicting the Statue of Liberty in profile. This design also incorporates a privy mark symbolizing industry and innovation with a stylized gear, which undergoes slight annual changes. The inscriptions on the coin include "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "$1." The obverse design was created by Artistic Infusion Program Artist Justin Kunz and sculpted by Medallic Artist Phebe Hemphill.
