2025 150th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada Special Wrap Roll Box Set

Get BOTH versions of the 150th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada $1 coin in one set.

NEW for 2025: Two rolls and two encapsulated coins in one box set. Each colourized special wrap roll adds 25 colourful commemorative $1 coins to your collection, but with this special wrap roll set, you get TWO different versions of the 150th Anniversary of the Supreme Court of Canada coin: one special wrap roll of 25 colourized coins, and one special wrap roll of 25 non-colourized coins. Inside the presentation box, your two rolls come nestled in a custom foam insert alongside two encapsulated coins (one of each version)—a new addition that makes it easier for you to view the designs and put either side of the coin on display.

This special wrap roll box set in this specific format and packaging is limited to 5,000 sets worldwide. The total production of the colourized special wrap rolls is 15,000 and the non-colourized special wrap rolls is 10,000. (Rolls also available individually.)

New! Includes Two Additional Coins!
Two additional coins—one of each version, colourized and non-colourized—are included in every set as a preview of what’s inside each roll. Both coins are individually encapsulated, allowing you to safely handle them while enjoying a closer look at the obverse and reverse. The Supreme Court of Canada is the world’s only bilingual and bijural top court – a status that reflects the co-existence of common law and civil law traditions in Canada, in both official languages. The Court doesn’t hold trials; instead, as Canada’s final court of appeal, it hears appeals from decisions of the provincial and territorial courts of appeal, and from the Federal Court of Appeal and the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada. Federal, provincial and territorial governments may also request the Court’s advisory legal opinion on questions of public importance.

The reverse design by Canadian artist Silvia Pecota features a front view of the Supreme Court of Canada Building, located just west of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, Ontario. Beneath the maple leaf laser mark is the Court’s 150ᵗʰ commemorative logo; derived from the Court’s historic badge known as the Cormier Emblem, the commemorative logo consists of a semi-circle of laurels representing the nine judges and the Court’s work, with the leaves expanding around the circle to signify growth. While the double dates (“1875 – 2025”) commemorate the 150ᵗʰ anniversary of the Court’s creation, the interwoven “150” numerals reflect the Court’s commitment to legal accessibility and inclusivity, and the dualities of bijuralism (common law and civil law) and bilingualism (English and French) that make Canada’s top court globally unique. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
