2024 South Africa 1 Rand Krugerrand 1oz. .999 Silver (No Tax)

Introduced in 1967 as a conveyance for private ownership of gold, the Krugerrand was originally minted in a copper-gold alloy, which is more durable than pure gold. To celebrate the gold Krugerrand's 50th Anniversary in 2017, the silver Krugerrand was introduced.

Along with the gold Krugerrand, the reverse of the Silver Krugerrand depicts a springbok, the national animal of South Africa, designed by Coert Steynberg. The obverse depicts the likeness of Paul Kruger, South Africa’s first and only president, along with “South Africa” in Afrikaans and English.
