The second release of the 'Mythical Forest' Series from the Germania Mint depicts a beautifully detailed Chestnut. This series follows the success of the "Germania" and "Allegories" bullion series also released by the Germania Mint.

The obverse features a chestnut along with the inscriptions "CHESTNUT LEAF - 1oz - 999.9 FINE SILVER". The reverse depicts a Bicephalous Eagle (two-headed eagle) with a laurel wreath. This eagle derives from Roman mythology to symbolize the god Janus (god of all origins, guardian of passages and the patron of contracts and alliances). The inscriptions, "GERMANIA" and "5 MARK" accompany the Bicephalous Eagle.
