This 2006 $300 14K Gold 1900 Shinplaster Royal Canadian Mint Coin commemorates the 25-cent note issue of 1900. It features a seated vignette of Britannia, an allegorical female representation of Britain. "Will pay on demand" is printed on the front and "Redeemable on presentation at Montreal, Toronto or St. John" is printed on the opposite side.
The seal from the Department of Finance on Britannia's left side is another element that distinguished this particular issue from its predecessors.
