No Grass Variety: The grass behind and to the left of Terry's left leg appears to be missing due to die polishing.
Obverse: Bare head of Elizabeth II at 77 years old facing right, wearing a necklace and earrings, with the legend around and the date below.
Reverse: Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Marathon of Hope, the reverse features Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox (1958-1981) - a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer treatment activist, who ran with one prosthetic leg the Marathon of Hope, which was a cross-country run to raise money for cancer research - running in front of a typical Canadian scene of trees and grass, with the country name to the right, and the denomination to the left.
