In 1999, the Polar Bear design appeared only in a limited number of special coin sets produced for the collector market. This set includes one of the $2 coins along with a $1 common loon dollar, 50-cent coat of arms, 25-cent caribou quarter, 10-cent bluenose schooner dime, 5-cent beaver nickel, and 1-cent maple leaf penny. Each coin has been struck in specimen finish and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint case. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity to value.
