Issued to commemorate Canada's role in the United Nations peacekeeping forces.

The one-of-a-kind Peacekeeping Monument in Ottawa is dedicated to Canadian peacekeepers which narrates a story that many of our citizens can be proud of. A portion of this monument is featured on the reverse side of this Peacekeeping Dollar Coin. This beautiful coin is a reminder of the Peacekeepers who continue to keep our country safe, and those who lost their lives in the line of duty. The obverse side of the coin comes with an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This coin comes presented in original Royal Canadian Mint packaging.
