Obverse: Diademed bust of Elizabeth II facing right, with the legend around.
Reverse: Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the accession of British Columbia, the reverse features the province's Coat of Arms topped by their provincial flower, the dogwood, with "BRITISH COLUMBIA" above, the dates 1871 and 1971 on either side of the arms, with the country name and denomination below, divided by a maple leaf.
