Uncrowned Portrait, Modified Obverse Legend, Maple Twig Design (1948-1952)
Following the arrival of the master tools with the new obverse legend omitting "ET IND:IMP:" in 1948, the 1947 Maple Leaf coinage was terminated. For the remainder of the year, coins were produced with the new obverse and the true date, 1948.
A Between Denticles Variety: The last "A" in GRATIA points between two large denticles. Reverse has 128 denticles.
