Ten New Hampshire Goldback Aurum 1/100oz 24K .9999 Gold Wafer Foil Note (No Tax)

These 24K foil notes contain 1/100oz .999 Fine Gold.  Goldbacks resemble standard paper currency in shape but are made with thin layers of 24-karat gold. Initially introduced in Utah following the Utah Legal Tender Act, they serve as a voluntary currency, allowing transactions at the vendor's discretion. Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—have each launched their own Goldbacks in subsequent years.

This New Hampshire Goldback depicts Prospicientia, or Foresight, makes her Goldback debut on the New Hampshire 10 Goldback denomination. She is found sitting atop a cannon on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean with Fort Constitution (formerly Fort William and Mary) across the bay. This setting is historically important as it depicts the moments after New Hampshire’s Sons of Liberty took control of the fort.
