1980 Grande Prairie, AB First Train to Grande Prairie Trade Dollar Token

The 1980 Grande Prairie, AB First Train to Grande Prairie Trade Dollar Token was issued to promote tourism, support local businesses, and commemorate the arrival of the first train to Grande Prairie in 1916, following the construction of the Central Canada Railway which began in 1914 and was completed two years later. The obverse features a majestic trumpeter swan in marsh while the reverse depicts a steam train advancing with tiny logo of the Alberta 75 celebrations on the left.
