2005 & 2010 Canada Military Anniversary Coin, Medallion and Stamp Sets (Impaired)
This pair features two Military Anniversary Coin, Medallion and Stamp sets released by the Royal Canadian Mint. The first is the 2005 Canada 60th Anniversary of VE-Day Proof 5-cent and Medallion set, issued to mark the 60th anniversary of VE Day. It includes a sterling silver 5-cent coin and a bronze medallion depicting Land, Air, and Sea imagery on the reverse and King George VI on the obverse. The set comes with a 36-page bilingual booklet detailing Canada’s significant role leading up to the end of WWII in Europe, all housed in a grey case showing wear. The second is the 2010 100th Anniversary of the Canadian Navy Coin and Stamp Set, commemorating the formation of the Canadian Navy, a key step in Canada’s independence from Great Britain. It includes a 2010 gold-plated dollar with scuffed capsule, a navy commemorative stamp sheet, and a booklet with a minor stain on the cover outlining the history of Canada’s navy, all housed in an aluminum case featuring a 1910 photo of Canada’s first navy recruits; the set’s slipcover shows wear.
