The 1974 Canada $5 and $10 Montreal Olympics Sterling Silver Coins were issued to generate support and excitement for the 1976 Summer Olympics held in Montreal, Quebec. The set includes a $5 coin featuring the Olympic Rings and Wreath, with the obverse displaying the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II and the reverse showing the Olympic rings above a wreath with the denomination below, and a $10 coin depicting Canada’s First Nations playing an early form of lacrosse, with the obverse also showing Queen Elizabeth II. Both coins are struck in .925 sterling silver and have been certified by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) with a grade of MS67.
