Released in 2008 to celebrate the unity and shared history of England, Scotland, and Ireland, the design of this beautiful proof set was selected from a competition with more than 4,000 entries. The winner, graphic designer Matthew Dent, was inspired by heraldry to create a segmented, jigsaw-like royal coat of arms across the set's seven coins. The set includes a 50 pence, 20 pence, 10 pence, 5 pence, 2 pence, and 1 penny coin, housed in a velvet-lined case with an informational booklet that doubles as a certificate of authenticity.
Please note, the set exhibits some minor issues, like some small scuffs on the proof set's plastic casing and a bit of a bend to the informational booklet. The case shows some minor signs of wear. See images for details.
