USA 5-Coin SSCA Peace Dollar Collection in Case (Issues)

Circulated between 1921 and 1928, and again between 1934 and 1935, the Peace dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci. By the end of World War I, the Morgan dollar and its warhawk imagery was becoming outdated; instead, America wanted symbols of peace. The new dollar featured an eagle at rest, holding an olive branch in its talon over the legend, "Peace." It was the last circulating dollar that contained 90% silver.

This five-coin set collects some lovely Peace dollars dated 1922, 1923, 1923, 1924, and 1925. They are encapsulated and displayed in a plush, blue case that comes with several certificates of authenticity issued by the Superior Stamp and Coin Company.

Of course, due to the age of both the case and the coins themselves, there are some minor issues. The case is slightly yellowed and worn along the edges, and the coins exhibit some light toning near the rims. The outer sleeve is a bit beat up and dented.
